Verbier itself boasts over 150 kilometres of ski pistes, as well as a wealth of easily-accessed off-piste skiing. You can cruise the gentle tree-lined ski runs from Savoleyres down into Tzoumaz, stopping at Chez Simon for a spot of lunch or start from the top of the awesome Mont Fort and ski the piste then the
itinerary run down the Col des Gentianes right down into Siviez, 1,600 metres below.

Après Ski
Verbier takes its après-ski pretty seriously. Relax with a vin chaud and watch the world go by from the window at The Fer a Cheval, enjoy a lively beer or three on the terrace at the pub Mont Fort, or dance on the bar to the
live band at the Hotel Farinet.

The resort has a wide variety of restaurants from Michelin-starred haute cuisine to humble but delicious pizzas, with plenty of places to enjoy traditional Swiss and local Valais specialities.

Other non ski activities
Walking – for non-skiers, Verbier has some beautiful walks up on the mountain and some lovely places to stop for lunch on the way. Sledging – the 10km piste de luge runs from the to Savoleyres down into Tzoumaz. Skating – at the Sports Centre, where you can also go and watch evening ice-hockey matches. Swimming, sauna and squash – also at the Sports Centre Cinema - on Place Centrale. Matinee and evening screenings of English language movies for kids and adults. Go-Karting – on ice for the more adventurous, at the Sports Centre just 5 minutes walk from the chalet. Trampoline – giant trampoline with bungee harnesses for added acrobatics, near the Place Centrale for children up to 14yrs. Parapente – spectacular flights from the top of the mountain down into the resort; solo, for those already qualified or tandem with an experienced instructor. Shopping – ski equipment and clothing as well as leisure wear and luxury brands, gifts and homeware shops to browse.
